GLOBIAD project team winner of the Magda Dierendonck 2017 Award for Nursing Research in Flanders

On April 18, 2018 drs. Karen Van den Bussche and Prof. dr. Dimitri Beeckman of the SKINT research group were awarded 5000 euro as the winner of the Magda Dierendonck 2017 Award for Nursing Research in Flanders.

The winning quantitative research project was titled ‘The classification of incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD): development and psychometric validation of the Ghent Global IAD Categorisation Tool (GLOBIAD) in 30 countries’. The Magda Dierendonck awards reward patient-oriented research whose results contribute to the improvement of nursing care. The research group and laureate received the award from Prof. dr. Rik Verhaeghe, the CNO of the Ghent University Hospital, and Mrs. Magda Dierendonck.
